"A great-looking, well-designed app... frankly, its the best weve come across... poker.co.uks new iPhone tourney clock is the years must-have app." - World Poker Tour Magazine
Are you bored of poker tournament director apps that are rubbish? Of free ones with important features missing, and really expensive ones that STILL have important features missing? We were, so we made a better one.
ULTIMATE POKER TIMER, brought to you by the kindly peoples of Poker.co.uk, is an extremely full-featured and easy-to-use game timer/tournament director that will handle as much or as little of the burden of running your tournament as you want it to. It includes:
- FULL tournament-structure customisation: select length, small blind, big blind, ante, rebuys and addons for each level individually, and save as many different tournament structures as you like. Unlike certain expensive tournament-manager apps, you can edit a structure after you’ve saved it, and you’re not restricted to preset structures or chip values, or to having all the blind levels the same length. You can choose your currency (Sterling, Euros or dollars), and we’ll even let you pick the colours and what noise it makes when a level ends.
- a Payout Assistant to help you quickly and easily decide how much to pay the winners of your games. Unlike every other tournament director app we’ve seen, ULTIMATE POKER TIMER lets you pay as many of the field as you want, not just three or four or five. It supports overlays and entry fees, and it’ll also round off the payments to any unit you specify, so you don’t have to go rummaging around for coppers to pay 3rd place $27.53, like in some apps we could mention.
- Support for named players. If you want it to, ULTIMATE POKER TIMER will let you enter the names of all your players and keep track of who was knocked out, when, in which position and by whom, and will even let you make notes about the hand it happened in. (The results and notes are retained by the app when the tournament ends, so when you get home after the game you can check them and post them on your poker league’s website or whatever.) It can even cope with people turning up late.
- Alternatively, you can forget about player names and payout values and all that cool stuff we worked so hard on, and just use it as a simple blinds timer, complete with a separate 60-second countdown clock for those players who are taking too long to make a decision, and quick-adjustment buttons to let you fine-tune your tournament timing on the fly.
